Attorney Craig W. McKinney has been a lifelong resident of Stark County, born and raised in Massillon, Ohio.  Ever since I was a child, the law has always been my passion. From having mock trials in my childhood home to now being a trial attorney for the people of Ohio. 

 

In High School, I was a member of the first team to reach the State Level Competition. During my time in Mock Trial my team reached State Competition twice, achieving numerous Outstanding Attorney Awards. After proudly graduating from Jackson High School, I continued to serve the mock trial team as an assistant coach during my time in College.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Justice Studies, from Kent State University. From there, I attended the University of Toledo College of Law, where I completed my life's passion in receiving my Juris Doctor.

During my time at Toledo, I achieved Highest Ranking Student in Negotiation Skills and Trial Practice. Additionally, I participated in the University’s Legal Clinic, where I helped my clients fight for custody and child support orders.

 

Upon, graduating with my Juris Doctor, I sat for the 2017 July Ohio Bar Examination. After, successfully passing the Ohio Bar, I was licensed in October of 2017. From there, my passion has developed into my practice. I am proud to say I have served as a Prosecutor and a Public Defender, gaining knowledge and experience on both sides of the law. To now, serving my clients as their counselor at law.

Since 2017, I have successfully handled over 3,500 cases. I have had numerous successful Jury and Bench Trials.  With this experience I know how complex and overwhelming the legal process can be. My goal is to help you understand your rights and the issues affecting your case.
